scrolling, scrolling, scrolling...
When I first started my business, I was trying to following too many “experts” and “influencers” and trying to apply ALL their advice.
One says, “Do a webinar and you’ll make 6 figures” (by the way, webinars are shady as hell so I advise you to avoid them at all cost).
Another says, “All you need is a funnel!” (but they don’t tell you about the affiliate link they want you to sign up with to pay for a $300/month software OR that you can create a better funnel with multiple different tools that are better, cheaper and easier to use).
Oh and of course those that follow the “Hustle & Grind” mindset of putting in 20 hour days. Um, no. I need time to catch up on Netflix and see my friends and family.
But I got SO overwhelmed with ideas, thoughts, and questions.
"Who is RIGHT? What should I talk about? What is right for ME and MY business? AHHH!"
I remember that feeling... like I was getting lost on who I AM as a person…
because there were too many people talking about who I SHOULD be.
I lost my fire… my passion and I lost my purpose.
I decided that I couldn’t figure it out on my own any longer. I needed help.
So I hired a coach. Someone who SEEMED to have it all together.
"OMG, that person has 103 comments on their post. How did they do that? It’s like they were BORN online - I NEED to learn from them!"
(by the way, engagement doesn't equal sales numbers… remember that. I’ve had posts with 3 comments and a few likes that made me thousands)

“Fake it ‘til you make it!”
“It’s so easy to take pictures to make you LOOK successful! Go to Ikea, stand in front of a huge house (even if it’s not yours), stand near an expensive vehicle you see in the parking lot, find screenshots showing sales skyrocketing - you can just Google them)...”
“[INSERT SLEAZY EXPERT] just had their summit and the theme is Unicorn. We must share this with EVERYONE. Start posting about Unicorns daily…."
Even though they KNOW that thousands of other people that attended the same event are going to do the same thing and fill the feed with their Unicorn magic… without understanding that those who didn’t attend the cheesy event don’t give a fuck about Unicorns.
Ok... well I do... but, you know... real unicorns.
OH… and my favorite…
“Get on sales calls, you NEED to be booking 100 sales calls per week… Cold msg everyone you connect with on social media. Here’s MY no-fail call script”

(Also doesn’t mention that most of these people WILL block you for trying to get them on a call… )
